Eyelid Surgery

Eyelid Surgery Stock PhotoExcess skin around the eyes can cause problems with vision, a puffy appearance, a tired or fatigued look, bags around the eyes, or droopiness of the eyelids themselves. Our patients from Rhode Island and Connecticut towns like New Haven choose eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty) to address these problems. Board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Gary Price often combines eyelid surgery with other treatments, including laser resurfacing or face lift surgery with dramatic results.

Dr. Price performs eyelid surgery in Connecticut by surgically removing excess skin and pockets of fat from the eyelids. If you would like to appear refreshed, younger, and less fatigued, eyelid surgery may be an excellent option. Request a consultation online or call us at 203-453-6635 to learn more about this procedure.

Upper Eyelid Blepharoplasty

When performing upper eyelid surgery, Dr. Price makes the incision in the natural crease of the upper eyelid. This procedure removes excess skin improving that tired, "saggy" look. It is often the first cosmetic surgery procedure people need as the signs of aging develop. It does not require general anesthesia.

Dr. Gary Price is now offering Vectra® 3D Imaging, an innovative system that lets you visualize your problem areas and truly customize your cosmetic experience. Click to learn more.

Lower Eyelid Blepharoplasty

This procedure targets bags under the eyes by removing excess skin and fat. For patients with "bagginess" alone, excess fat can be removed without a visible scar. If skin does need to be removed, the incision is hidden beneath the lash line. General anesthesia is not required, and this procedure is often performed with upper eyelid surgery. For fine, crepe paper-like lines of the lower lids, Dr. Price often combines eyelid surgery with laser skin rejuvenation.
