Meet Dr. Gary Price
Dr. Gary Price is a board-certified plastic surgeon specializing in cosmetic surgery. He performs a comprehensive variety of cosmetic surgery procedures including face lifts, eyelid surgery, breast augmentation, tummy tucks, liposuction, and laser facial rejuvenation in his private, licensed, and accredited facility in Guilford, Connecticut. With over 23 years of plastic surgery experience, Dr. Price has established a reputation for comfort, convenience, and a natural look.
Dr. Price is a graduate of the Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine, where he was president of the Class of 1978. His post graduate residency training was at the Yale-New Haven Hospital where he served as a resident in general surgery and then plastic surgery. He was Chief Resident in General Surgery at Yale from 1982 to 1983, and Chief Resident in Plastic Surgery from 1984 to 1985.
Dr. Price was certified by The American Board of Surgery in 1984, and the American Board of Plastic Surgery in 1986. He specializes in a wide range of cosmetic procedures, including breast augmentation, face lift, and liposuction surgery.
He has published multiple articles in the plastic surgical scientific literature, and given many presentations on plastic surgery in the U.S., and abroad. Currently, he is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Surgery at the Yale University School of Medicine.
Dr. Price is a past president of the Connecticut State Medical Society, as well as the New Haven County Medical Association and the Connecticut Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons. He is the 2009-2010 president of The New England Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons, and is very involved in legislation concerning safety in outpatient operating facilities, as well as scope of practice issues.
Among the honors and awards Dr. Price has received are The Resident Award for Outstanding Clinical Teaching, Yale Section of Plastic Surgery, The Founders Award of The New England Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and the Cheston M. Berlin Award from the Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine Alumni Society.
Dr. Price has been interviewed in multiple television, radio, newspaper and magazine stories on plastic surgery, most recently on the WTNH "Connecticut Style" television show.
He has participated in multiple volunteer trips to developing countries to perform surgery on children with facial and hand deformities. Currently, Dr. Price serves on the Board of Directors of the Physicians Foundation, a national foundation seeking to improve the quality of healthcare.
