Breast Augmentation

Breast implant surgery can improve the profile and size of your breasts.  Implants augment the breasts after surgical insertion behind the breast tissue or chest muscle.  There are two primary options available for implants: silicone and saline implants.

Silicone Gel Implants

Silicone gel implants feel and move naturally, simulating the properties of breast tissue very well.    While silicone implants are very natural in appearance, the risks may include rare leaking of the gel into the implant shell and may require occasional maintenance office visits for monitoring purposes.  Manufacturers offer a variety of silicone implants for different body types, shapes, and sizes.

Saline Implants

Saline implants are filled with sterile salt water.  In the unlikely event that an implant were to leak, your body naturally absorbs the solution.  Saline implants are inserted before they are filled, which allows for smaller incisions.
